PrinterWorks West Supports Children victims of Violence
PrinterWorks West Inc. (PWW) are subject matter experts with extensive industry experience. They make printers and copiers their business. Serving the province of Alberta with locations in Calgary, Edmonton, and Fort McMurray. They specialize in Managed Print Services (MPS) and offer a broad range of solutions and hardware from the leading manufacturers.
PrinterWorks West would like to announce their upcoming Foundation which will take effect in January of 2021. The PrinterWorks West Foundation (PWW Foundation) is a non-profit organization founded in 2020. This foundation was founded during the COVID-19 Pandemic by the Owners Jonathan Ceaser and Darryl Henderson to give organizations a helping hand providing refurbished printers and printing services. We believe that reusing unwanted printers/copiers will help organizations financially and will help our environment. This foundation will primarily focus on and for the community. They will work with organizations on a more personal level by providing volunteers, funding, and other initiatives to help organizations grow.
The Brenda Strafford Centre will be their first organization to reap the benefits. This partnership will be the pilot to start their foundation off in the new year. The Brenda Strafford Centre provides shelter, supported housing, and comprehensive services including counselling, case management, instrumental needs, life skills training, employment education, social programs and therapeutic child and youth services to women and children leaving situations involving family violence. Families can live at Brenda Strafford Centre for up to 30 months while they rebuild their lives in their safe and secure facility. Each year more than 300 children call Brenda Strafford Centre home.
PrinterWorks West will be partnering with them this year to help fundraise for their current campaign called ‘Llama and Me: A Child’s Journey Through Family Violence’. Llama and Me is just one story among thousands experienced by children impacted by family violence each year in Calgary and across the country. PWW are proud to announce that they will be matching donations dollar for dollar up to $2500.
“We are honored to work with The Brenda Strafford Centre on this campaign,” said the Owners at PrinterWorks West. “This year, we are excited to help families in our community who may not have the means nor the support to experience a bountiful holiday season. The Brenda Strafford Centre is a remarkable organization and helps so many women and children with stable living environments and support.”
“We are grateful to our amazing partners, like Printer Works West for their generosity and commitment. Without them, it would be impossible for the Brenda Strafford Centre to provide safe housing and healing services to over 300 women and children experiencing family violence every year” said Jorge Torres, Manager of Fund Development at the Brenda Strafford Centre.
Also, On December 1st, 2020, PrinterWorks West will be holding a toy drive at their location in Calgary. This will be for employees, clients and anyone who would like to drop off new toys to be donated to The Brenda Strafford Centre.
