the printerworks west foundation
PrinterWorks West is committed to giving back to the community and creating a more sustainable environment within the printing industry. Establishing the PrinterWorks West Foundation, we strive to reduce the printing industry's environmental footprint. We also aim to lessen the digital divide in our communities.
The PrinterWorks West Foundation (PWW Foundation) is a non-profit organization founded during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Our owners, Jonathan Ceaser and Darryl Henderson, are major advocates when it come to giving to those in need. This foundation was built on the premises of philanthropy and to lead by example.
Making printers accessible
With many companies and organizations moving their employees to work remotely from home, it became apparent of how many businesses were not able to afford the technology to support those working remotely in a seamless manner.
Currently, individuals and organizations do not have the means to pay high prices for technology like printers, copiers, or scanners. The closures of non-essential environments that would usually offer printing, copying, and scanning during the pandemic, including libraries, has affected everyone. This need created the PWW Foundation.
With non-essential locations not operating, printing, copying, and scanning services were inaccessible for most people during the pandemic. We saw a need for technology, such as printers, and decided to create the PWW Foundation.
Not all organizations can suddenly help subsidize personal printing and scanning devices for their staff. Especially not after sudden costs associated with closing and potentially deciding between office equipment and keeping staff on an already tight budget.
That is why PrinterWorks West wanted to help donate refurbished or new devices with competitive pricing to meet organizations needs and also their budget.
Reducing Environmental Footprint
PrinterWorks West believes that we can help our communities by reusing unwanted printers and providing competitive rates. By refurbishing printers and donating them to organizations, we reduce our environmental footprint and support local organizations that may not be able to afford a new printer.
Although the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic inspired our foundation, our goal is to continue to provide refurbished printers and low competitive pricing so that organizations too, get a chance.
PrinterWorks West aims to establish a better environment by reusing our unwanted or used printing devices and donating them to charities and organizations in need across Alberta. We aim to ensure that every Alberta-based organization receives the lowest possible pricing when it comes to their Managed Print Services.
We are here to help charities and organizations receive refurbished printers and print solutions. PrinterWorks West is also committed to helping our environment by lessening the impact technology has on our planet.
